Children's Art Area

The Denton Arts & Jazz Festival is proud to continue its mission of introducing children to art. Children today are the future. They are Painting, Sculpting, Forging, Creating, Mixing, Designing, Drawing, Carving, Molding, Forming, Building, Envisioning, Constructing the frameworks of the new era and Weaving the threads of the future. Children are pioneers. They're the evolutionists of the new age - the millennium.

The Children's Art Tent gives our young people a creative outlet with many artistic projects. Marble & Mural Painting; Wood, Clay & Flower Sculpture; Tangram Art; Stamp Art; Collage; Drawing and much more.

The Denton Arts & Jazz Festival would not be complete without the very popular Children's Art Tent. This facet of the festival has grown through the years and gives our young people a creative outlet with many artistic projects. There will be 15 work stations for the children and their parents to choose from.

There are 75 volunteers that help with the Children's Art Tent for the 2 days. The tent has wide support and interest, but above all these children could become our next Picassos, Pollacks or O'Keefes.
